  Beginners Package This package is a starting point for those wanting to trace their family.

Intermediate Package

For those who have already made a start on their family history.

  Advanced Package For those who have already made a start on their family history and are looking to research both sides of their family.

  Pre 1855 Package If your research has taken you up to 1855 Well Done! If you are wanting to see if you can get further back in history then this package is for you.

  Photo Package If you would like up to 10 photos of your ancestral town/house and so on I can help. This package is only available in Scotland at the moment.

All packages include
  • Any travel within Angus
  • Full transcripts of Birth, Marriage and Death (Civil Registration) certificates
  • Full transcripts of census returns
  • Full transcripts of parish registers
  • Printed family charts/family trees (if requested)
  • Professional report of genealogy research undertaken and details found

Extra copies of the report can be purchased at £10 per copy. Extra copies of the CD can be purchased at £8 per CD.

Travel expenses for research outside of Angus

20pence per mile + accommodation expenses

Ordering Certificates

Ordered copies of full Civil Registration certificates (England, Wales and Scotland) which are not included in the above packages.

Charges at Cost

The following are charged at cost price on top of package prices;

  • Entry charges to General Register Office of Scotland and any Record Offices (£10 for half day, £17 for full day)

The following are charged at cost price if they are not included as part of the packages;

  • Photocopies
  • Online research for websites such as ScotlandsPeople where charges are made for viewing documents (£6 for 30 units)

Deposit

A deposit is required on all packages of 1/4 of the cost of the package.  This will be invoiced at the start of any research and offset against the total due for the package chosen.  Should you be unsatisfied with the results of your family's history research your deposit will be refunded.

An invoice for the outstanding cost will be sent to you along with my report on completion of the research.  Payment is preferred through PayPal.  PayPal can process payments from anywhere internationally.  It is a secure, quick and easy way to pay!

Alternatively, cheques, postal orders or money orders should be made payable to Samantha Godley and sent to the address under Contact Us. VAT is not charged.
